A warm welcome to our website and our club. The Barnsley Branch of the Morris Minor owners club prides itself on being welcoming and friendly to all it’s members and visitors alike. We hold a monthly meeting where we can gather together to share all things Morris Minor related and have a thoroughly good time. You don’t need to own a Morris Minor to be part of our club and you don’t need to be an expert mechanic either.
A wide range of people within the club already means young or old, experienced or novice you will soon find someone to chat and exchange conversation, questions and ideas with. We are based in Barnsley but our existing members are located as far afield as South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire.
The club organises a variety of entertainment at its monthly meetings from quizzes and raffles to barbecues and Morris Minor car boot evenings to name but a few. In addition the club attends events both locally and nationally and holds it’s very own annual branch rally once a year currently held at Graves Park in Sheffield. There is always something to do or join in with and a vast array of things to interest you. If on the other hand you prefer a more leisurely approach there is no pressure to join in – just enjoy the company and have a good time.
Added to this the Barnsley Branch can bring you in contact with the National Morris Minor owners club. There are around 10,000 registered members within the national club making it one of the biggest classic car clubs within the U.K.
Both Barnsley Branch and the National Morris Minor owners club provide a regular update to its members. In the case of the National club it takes the form of a Bi-monthly magazine called “Minor Matters” or their website and forum which can be accessed from our links page HERE. In the case of the Barnsley Branch it takes the form of a monthly newsletter or this website and our Facebook group HERE.
If this website has whetted your appetite then pop along to one of our meetings or contact us via the contacts page of this website. We also have a Facebook group from which you can follow us or get in contact with some of our members.
Alternatively if you are looking to become a member of the Barnsley Branch then you can either navigate to our membership page and download an application form or once again just pop along to one of our meetings.
Our regular meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month and start at 7:30 pm. We currently hold the meetings at –
